I am officially releasing my song called Lucid in TWO weeks! yay! Lucid is an Industrial/Rock song, designed to tell a story of a turning point in my life. I was close to the spirit world, when I took too much psychedelics and almost never returned to this life.
Lucid tells the story of how I entered a timeless, senseless, void, looping sounds, colors and ripples of matter, endlessly. I lost my thoughts, sense of direction, sensory feelings, and ability to maintain control of my surroundings, to which I met the death of my ego. I was trapped in this void and unable to escape, for what felt like months. I WAS SO SCARED! Once I began to remember negative experiences and thoughts I subconsciously hung on to, I began to regain my ego and self. I learned so much from this experience, especially the feeling of gratitude that something, anything existed. I would rather be somewhere with something, than to be in an infinite void of nothing. This experience changed me, so the lyrics will give you a better idea of what I went through with this experience. I was Lucid Dreaming, except, I wasn't dreaming.
Back in 2020, I uploaded a version of Lucid (that I wasn't entirely happy with) to Soundcloud. HOWEVER, I did not release this song officially with a distributor, so it wasn't uploaded to any streaming platforms. If you really search for it, you will find an unfinished version out there in the indie-internet world.
